Totes adorbs

For the birthdays, we decided to paint our own canvas totes. There were so many ideas on Pinterest. Too many to choose from really. We had a great night bonding and painting.

32 years

This year has been a tough year for me. I am grateful for so many blessings in my life. I would not ever want to live through this last year again, however, I have learned so much and gained perspective. I am more forgiving and understanding of people with disabilities. I have become more loving and I am so grateful for challenges that force me to grow.
Here's to another year and maybe a few less trials.

I don't like it! Things that are normally hard become even harder or nearly impossible! Things that should be easy become hard. I took so many things for granted with Edward. I had no idea what parents dealt with when working with children with developmental delays.
Someday's are just too hard. Today is that kind of day.
Go away. Autism!!!

Father's Day love

I am so grateful to have a wonderful father in my life. He is such an amazing example of truth and righteousness.
I am also blessed to be married to a great father and wonderful example to my boys. Happy Father's Day.

Swimming, swimming, I love swimming!

Today was the boys last day of city swim lessons and my Mom's last day for staying with us.  She has been here for nearly 3 weeks!  Wow, have I been spoiled!  I have loved every single minute of her visit.  She even tried to teach me how to knit.  I have to say, that is not my talent.  Anyhow, here are some pictures of our last swim day and our last day with Grandma until vacation in two weeks!!

Thumbs up for three rides on the slide all by himself!

So upset because he was only able to ride the slide twice.

Let me catch you up....

I have been blogging from my iPhone lately.  It doesn't format very well to my 3 column blog.  Hence my pictures looking a little funny.  Anyhow, I uploaded some pictures from my REAL camera today along with some videos.
Back in May, I made some cornstarch sidewalk chalk.  The boys have fun for about 10 minutes, so not really worth the effort.  Probably better to just buy sidewalk chalk and let the boys have fun.  Funny, every time I go to Smith's to buy the sidewalk chalk, Edward doesn't want it.

Then my parents came and helped us build the play set.  Nolen was my very best helper. He was outside helping the whole time (except when he was taking a nap).  He even grabbed the screw driver and tried to help.  SO cute!

My Mom used the boxes to make a puppet show and a huge cardboard boat.  The boys LOVED it!
