Christmas Day

We had such a wonderful Christmas morning.  The boys woke up around 8:30 and we opened presents as 9.  Just the way I like it.  When I was a kid we used to wake up at 5 in the morning to open present.  At our house, we don't believe in Santa so I am sure this is why the boys sleep late.  I loved watching their faces light up as they opened presents all morning long.

Our presents to each other was a little escape to Santa Fe.  We booked a room for two nights at Sunrise Springs Resort.  On Tuesday, we took the boys up to Meow Wolf and wondered through the art experience.  Afterward, my parents took the boys back to Albuquerque, while Stephen and I stayed behind with Craig and Blair.
Our rooms were amazing!  It was quiet and peaceful.  The rooms do not have TV and the resort offers classes to take all day.  We sat in the sweat lodge, went out to eat, pet puppies, made salve, took a yoga class, watched movies, went to dinner, then spent a day at the spa.  It was luxurious!  I am so glad for little moments like those that Stephen and I get to spend together.  I feel in love with him nearly 14 years ago.  Reconnecting with him is so important to our relationship.  I love him.  I am so grateful to my parents who take the time out of their lives to come spend time with my sweet boys.

Merry Christmas!
