Food Inc.

I watched an interesting movie today, Food Inc. If you have two or so hours, I suggest checking it out. Sort of puts food and where we get it, in to perspective.

Snow Day!

We took a wonderful trip up to the mountains today. Edward even wore his snow pants! He enjoyed the snow more than I anticipated. To my surprise, it wasn't cold, just a little windy. Happy Monday to all!

Eleven Months!!

Edward is officially walking and talking, OK, OK, he is just babbling but it sure is cute. I weighed him this morning and he is just under 24 pounds and 30 inches tall! He has four beautiful teeth that seemed to take forever to grow in to his tiny little mouth. He is wonderful.

Book of Mormon Challenge

Back in September, my ward relief society challenged us to read the Book of Mormon by the end of the year. As many of you know, I am a horribly slow reader. I figured it would be impossible for me to read the entire book in a year let alone four months.

I set out on the challenge. The relief society provided a wonderful guide for finishing the book; however, it required daily reading. I decided I was up for the challenge and began reading to Edward at breakfast each morning.

Obviously, today is January 7, 2010, so I didn't finish by the end of the year... but pretty close. I have learned so much more through this challenge and my testimony of Jesus Christ has grown because of our daily studying and prayer.

If you are looking for a great way to start your day, here is the guide I followed.
Enjoy :)

Christmas and New Year wrap up...

What an incredibly fast vacation. I can not believe I am already back home in Albuquerque watching Edward all alone.

Christmas Eve I had my very last performance of White Christmas. I loved it! Every minute. I wanted to get a picture with Edward on Santa's lap, but we did not connect after the show so you will just have to do with me holding Edward in my finale costume next to the unlit tree.

We drove all night and arrived in Kingman around 10 PM. Not too bad because the roads were empty! Edward received so many gifts. He now has a new wardrobe that will last him another 6 to 8 months!! He also will have enough toys to last him 3 to 5 years.

Amanda, Landon, and Me.
My Mom, Kendra, Blair, Dad, and even Stephen worked on a quiet book for Edward. This was a huge project. It ended up taking about three full days of coloring, sewing, hammering, and gluing. However, it looks FANTASTIC!!

Tuesday morning we drove down to Phoenix. I was so excited to see all of my friends and family so I hosted (well Blair and Craig) a little get together. How many people came??? ONE! Chelsea took a few minutes out of her schedule to see me. Oh, don't feel guilty if you didn't stop by, I am sure you have a valid excuse. :)

We spent the rest our weekend watching movies and hanging out with Grandma B. She gave Edward a cute little glowworm and some very awesome clothes. I think Edward misses his Grandma's already. He keeps taking my hand and trying to get me to help him walk around the house. His newest attempts are to climb up and down the stairs.

Stephen, Grandma B, and Edward

I really had a wonderful time seeing new babies and friends. I can't wait to see what 2010 has in store. Stephen and I spent our New Year with Craig, Blair, Kendra, Micheal, and Sharla. We played some games and SOMEHOW... (no surprise) Stephen won.

Ike, Charlie, and Stephanie Isaacson

Luke Lines, Wesley Walker, and Bedward Barnes (ha ha ha, had to stick with the matching first and last names)

After visiting family, I realize how much I really miss Arizona and being around so many people that are amazing. I have really been doing some thinking about where I have been and where I will go from here. So many things change and I hope I am ready for the new challenges of 2010.
Happy Holidays!
