Kindergarten Graduation and the last day of morning preschool

Today, Edward graduated from Kindergarten.  Just like that, he moves on to first grade! I can't believe how fast time goes by.  He is so grown up.  He has changed and matured this last year more than I could have ever dreamed.  He has learned so many valuable lessons this year.  He is more than ready for first grade!

Nolen had his last day of early morning preschool on Thursday.  They had a big party and watched a movie Ms. Lisa made.  So adorable.  Nolen has matured and changed a ton this last year.  He says he is ready for kindergarten; however, I am so grateful he has one more year of preschool!

4 1/2

I know one busy 4 and a half year old.  He does more than most kids double his age.  We go from place to place to place and we expect him to behave through out the day.  Today, I documented his life.
Our day started with smoothies and getting ready for school.  Technically, Nolen has school on Friday's, but we skip it for Occupational Therapy.  We dropped Edward off at school and headed over to our first therapy of the day.  Nolen had to finish up some testing and he was NOT happy about it.
After kidpower, we drove home to pack up our lunch and head over to my friends house for hair cuts.  Stephen and I were in desperate need of hair cuts.
I scheduled a work out at the gym at Noon, so after haircuts we headed straight to the gym.  Nolen enjoyed his lunch in the child care while I worked out.
Nolen has ABA therapy on Friday's at 1:15.  We pulled in to the driveway as soon as our therapist drove up.  Phew! Nolen spent the next 2 hours upstairs with Whitney while I made cookies and prepped dinner for a family in the ward.

Nolen finished therapy right at 3:00 so we zoomed over to Edward's school to pick him up.  Then we came back home so I could finish dinner and write my shopping list.  We climbed back in the car and dropped dinner off then went to the grocery store.

As soon as we got home from the grocery store, I left the back door up and open so I could get the groceries out.  Nolen usually closes the garage for me.  So he did.  Right on the car.  I screamed!  He cried.  It was a total accident.  Now I have a nice scratch on the back door.

I, then, remembered I needed to take Nolen's pictures. So I grabbed my camera and clicked away! Our neighbor graduated from High School and we did a little stop by to drop off his graduation gift.  In return he gave us delicious cupcakes!
After eating a pasta dinner, we had to finish cleaning up the playroom to get ready for the garage sale.  I had to boys pick out all the toys they are willing to sale and they packaged them up so we could sale them.
At about 9:00 PM, both boys were exhausted and the playroom was not finished.  They were ready for bed.  So I cleaned them up and put them in bed!  Long day!
Hard to believe my sweet little baby is 4 and a half today.  He has grown and changed up so much.  I love him more and more each day.  I didn't even know that was possible.  He is so brilliant.  He can memorize any story and repeat it back word for word.  He blows away all of his therapists.  He loves everything that Edward loves especially lizards, snakes, snails, and geckos.  He loves a show on Netflix's called Oscar.  He barely plays the iPad anymore and only watches TV when Edward is gone.  This little boy is really growing up.
Happy half birthday!

The Duck Pond

Just down the road from our house is a nice little duck pond.  This morning, I had to wake the boys up a little early to do a quick photo shoot with a friend.  We met at the baseball park and snapped a few quick pictures.  I brought two pieces of bread and let the boys feed the geese and ducks that live at the pond.  Edward was pretty upset that we had to get up on a Saturday morning, but after feeding the ducks he went right back to happy!

Bullfrog Hunting

Where, oh, where have I been?  This year has been hard.  Not for any specific reason, but for many reasons.  I have been slacking on my blogging and I don't like that.  I like to document my boys lives so that I can look back and see where we have been.  It is also very therapeutic for me.  Last night, we went bullfrog hunting down by the Rio Grande.  It is so beautiful here in New Mexico.  It takes a while to see the beauty if you are an outsider.  Frankly, it took me about 5 years.  HA!  But I love it here now.  I am resigned to staying here until my boys graduate high school and Stephen retires.  If you are looking for another place to live, check out New Mexico!
