Pumpkins with Grandma and Grandpa Skousen

We had a great little adventure today. This was our 4th year attending McCall's Pumpkin Patch in Moriarty, New Mexico.  We had such a blast.  The weather was great this year and we didn't really even need our jackets.  We spent the morning wandering around going down slides, riding the cow train, and playing in corn. 

This evening we tried to attend the Balloon Glow like we did last year.  However, it was an epic fail.  We arrived too late and the parking took forever.  When we finally got down to the Balloon Fiesta grounds, the balloons had all gone down.  We thought we might still get in on some action but then the fire works started going off.  Nolen screamed!  Screamed!  He hated it.  He said he wanted to go back to bed.  Poor guy.  So I started walking back to the car with him holding on to me for dear life.  Every muscle in his body was tight.  30 minutes of walking later, I was back to the car and the fire works show was over.  My parents bought a night helicopter so we played with that for a bit and ate donuts.  All in all, it was a pretty good day.  I learned that autism and fireworks should NEVER, EVER be mixed.  HA!
