After a fun day at the tide pools and one more night in Napa Valley, we finally hit the road to northern California to see the Redwood National Park. This park was a bit different than the others because it was spread out all over the place. We drove the van on a crazy road only to find that it was the wrong way to go. We spent an hour trying to figure out where the Redwood National Park entrance.
Once we found it, we loved it. The trees are tall. They are beautiful.
After we left the Redwoods we went in search of some beautiful water falls on our way to Crater Lake. We found tunnel rock that was formed by a river. It was gorgeous.
Crater Lake was the biggest let down of the trip. We arrived in Oregon on a clear sunny afternoon. We checked in to our airbnb and then ordered pizza. What we didn't know was that Crater Lake is normally cloudy and it was a lucky day to see it on a clear day. We should have driven up that night to see the lake. We missed it entirely. The kids were all so disappointed.
