Every single holiday with out my Mom is impossible. I miss her every single day. We had a good quiet Easter this year. It was general conference so it was nice to just stay home and have no where we needed to go. My dad made dinner and we just played some games with the boys. No more egg hunts. I guess we are finally too grown up for that now.
Holiday's just hit different without my mom. Another holiday has come and gone and we didn't do our normal traditions. My dad drove down to Phoenix with Landon to spend Easter with his sisters. Earlier in the week, he got into a car wreck so he had to rent a car to drive to Phoenix. I went to the ward Easter picnic on the most freezing and snowy day all alone. Neither of my boys wanted to go. I had woken up early to run in the Sandia's with my friend Pam. We ended up running in the snow!
Easter Sunday was quiet and we just went to church, ate chicken noodle soup, and had some candy. I miss you, mom.
Easter was beautiful this year. Nolen played in the orchestra that accompanied the choir! My dream come true! I finally got to sing with one of my boys playing for me! It was awesome. My mom is still not doing well. She is down to 81 pounds. I am starting to think she won’t be here for much longer. It is hard to watch her decline for months now. The boys hunted eggs at my parents house and we may have outgrown the traditional egg hunt.
This year, Easter was perfect. We didn't do anything special at all. Church was one hour and that was great! My mom came to church and that made the day special. I played the piano for two girls to sing and Nolen played his cello with the ward string orchestra. After church we took naps then went over to my parents house for a fun egg hunt. I made chicken noodle soup for dinner and that was that. Relaxing and just what I needed after a busy week away.

I adore my sister. We get a long so well. We rarely disagree but when we do, it's BIG! We went shopping and hunted Easter eggs and ate and ate and ate!
