This morning, we woke up early and headed to the mass ascension at Balloon Fiesta 2019!
IT WAS FREEZING!
I dressed the boys really warm, however, we were still cold. It was 32 degrees this morning! More than 100 balloons lifted off this morning. We only stayed about an hour and a half. That was just enough time to see many balloons, eat some yummy food, and beat the traffic out of the parking lot.
The boys loved it.
I think my parents had fun, too!
After an action packed day, including running with our cross country team, we headed back to the Balloon Fiesta for the Balloon Glow. It was pretty disappointing to say the least. We used Stephen's work pass and it was NOT worth it. We had "free parking" and "free" entrance into the fiesta. Both of which were not needed. We didn't have to pay to park as no one was collecting money. We didn't have to pay to get in as no one was checking tickets. So that was a waste.
We walked to the VIP area and they wouldn't let our kids in with out paying. So Stephen paid $30 dollars to get them in so we could all eat the buffet and guess what?! They LOCKED THE DOORS!
What a joke. No we didn't get our money back and NO we didn't get to eat the buffet. So we just went home.
