Memorial Day Hike

Today was our first official day of summer break!  YAY!

We really did nothing.  

It felt so good for the first time in months to have absolutely no where to go and nothing to do.  We did not make plans with anyone and we did not have therapy to go to or any other obligations.

It was splendid.

Towards the end of our very lazy day, I asked the boys if they wanted to go on a hike.  

Edward was not thrilled with the idea but he slowly came around after I promised him a Sonic ice cream cone.

Nolen, of course, was ready to get out of the house and do something. 

We drove around to the west side of the Volcano cliffs and hiked around for about 40 minutes while taking pictures of the wild life.  

Edward ended up having a great time and actually wants to go hiking again.  He even told him that he is looking forward to riding his dirt bike with Dad soon.

I took my camera and took a few pictures.  

I let Edward and Nolen use our "little" camera to take pictures and make videos.  I absolutely love that Nolen's little fingers are in half the pictures he took.  I will forever remember his tiny 5 year old hands.
