After we finished our bath house journey, we headed down to New Orleans! We got to our hotel late and crashed. We had a swamp tour planned for the morning and it was exciting. We got to sit in the back of the boat and see so many alligators. It was steaming hot and sunny. A few ladies in our boat wore WHITE dresses to the swamp tour. As the tour was wrapping up it started to rain buckets! We all got soaked including the ladies wearing white.
After the swamp tour we drove to Bourbon street to see the sights. WOW, I do not need to ever go back. It was bar, bar, bar, nude bar, weed shop, and then another bar. There wasn't really a lot for kids to see or do. We stopped and had Beniots at the Mississippi River then walked back to the car. We drove to the airport hoping to get a 12 passenger van but we were out of luck. So we stayed with our minivan the entire trip.
We ate a lovely Louisiana dinner filled with craw fish and other local delicacies.
