Today, I'm 34

 It's been a beautiful life. I'm always so glad to share it with my readers. 34, I'm sure, will be wonderful and of course filled with trials I know I can over come. My boys are the light of my life and my husband is the best choice I ever made. 

I am taking a much needed break from singing so I can focus my attention in my sweet boys. 

A talk in church

A day I thought would never come, Nolen was asked to give a talk in church today. We practiced ahead of time and went over what would happen. Nolen did not want me to whisper in his ear. He was nervous to actually speak in the microphone until I spoke first. He repeated after me for the most part, then shook his hair around and said, "my hair is too fluffy!" So adorable. 

I try to take it one day at a time; however, I still worry a lot about Nolen's future. This is one step toward relating with his peers. 

In other news, Edward is silly. 

Ps: I found out I am still cancer free. Phew!!!!

Family Pictures 2015

We had our family pictures done by Sweet Papaya Photography again this year.  I am always so happy to get our photos back.  I love them!!  I love my family and I am so glad we have each other for eternity! 

Skousen family vacation 2015

This year, we stayed at my parents house  in Kingman, AZ. I came a week early for an extra long vacation. We had a blast!

We arrived Monday and started pulling weeds the first hour! The work never stops at the Skousen home. 

Tuesday my mom rented a huge bounce house. The boys jumped all day! I even climbed in and jumped a few times. 

The boys built a fairy house. They love bugs and fairy's take care of animals and bugs. 

Wednesday we drove to Las Vegas to take the boys to the children's museum. It was so fun! The water area kept Nolen entertained for a few hours.

The boys worked on a car, earned a paycheck, then went to the store and bought groceries. It was so cute. 

Edward found a birds nest on the ground. Animals are so interesting. Nature takes care of itself in such amazing ways. 

We had a pool party to celebrate Landon's 13th birthday. 

Thursday we did a few science experiments. The boys loved watching the volcanos erupt.

After science experiments, Nolen surprised me by learning to swing! It was so cool. 

That afternoon we bought soccer gear for the upcoming season and a few amphibians.

Saturday night, we went to relay for life. It is an event to help fundraiser money for cancer. 

Sunday morning, Edward rescued a baby bird from the pond.

Kendra joined us on Sunday night!

Monday, I picked up Stephen in Vegas then we stayed at the New York New York.

Tuesday we headed up to the Hualapis to camp. We ate and ate and ate! Possibly my favorite day of the trip.

Deer came right up to us and ate out of our hands!

Wednesday, Blair drive up and did mak-up on all of the girls. We spent about 12 hours doing make-up and photos.

Stephen worked all week on repairing the boat. 

And then my moms car was backed in to. Yikes!

Friday, we golfed.

Then we headed out to ride motorcycles past Hackberry road. 

Saturday, we headed to lake Mohave with our fixed up boat. The boat made it on three runs before it started to sink. 

I love my family. I love that we get together every year. It's my favorite time of year.
