New Years Eve

We had a fun low key New Year’s Eve this year. I actually didn’t make it to midnight. I was still not feeling 100 percent from the flu so I went to sleep at 9:00. Stephen worked that day and he was pretty tired, too.

Wolf Creek Ski!

I have always wanted to go on a vacation during Christmas time. It seemed impossible for a lot of years but this year we made it happen. I booked us a hotel in south fork, Colorado and we drove up the day after Christmas.

We had an incredible time skiing for two days up at wolf creek. The snow was amazing. It snowed the first day we skied! Edward and I took a class that helped a lot. We were able to ski so much more confidently. We brought pearl and just hung out together in the hotel room after we skied. We actually came home a day early because Stephen started to feel sick. It was a great way to spend our Christmas holiday.

Christmas

Well I got the flu for Christmas so I wasn’t able to get done all the things I really wanted to do. My dad flew to Tennessee Christmas morning so it was just my little family for Christmas. We opened gifts and then sat around all day. It was a perfectly quiet Christmas.

Fun filled Weekend

My friend Leigh Anne and her daughter flew to Albuquerque for my recital this weekend. We planned a few fun events including going to the River of Lights and to a fun tea party.   We had a blast! The tea party was such a fun surprise.

Leigh and I tried to make sugar cookies and they turned out terrible. We laughed and laughed about how awful they looked.

Craig and I signed up for a fun painting class on Saturday night. Stephen ended up being the best painter and a close runner up was Blair. I was by far the worst but that’s what made the class fun!
