Our last stop was Vancouver, Canada! We spent another day on the boat before we landed in Canada. I spent most of the day in bed trying to feel better. Spoiler alert, I did not ever feel better. We went to a few shows, ate a delicious dinner, and just hung out.
I forced my sweet family to get some family photos before we got off the boat. Our group was so big that the backdrop didn’t fit us. It was still great to get the entire family in one photo!
We slept in on Tuesday and slowly made our way off the boat. We ate our last breakfast at the buffet and then walked off the boat. We had made reservations to ride bikes around Stanley Park by 11:00. I had found a cheap place for us to store our luggage while we road bikes.
Everyone loved the bike ride! It was truly the highlight of the trip. Stephen and I rode an old rickety tandem bike and laughed and laughed. We stopped for lunch at a cute little store and then made our way back round the park.
After the bike ride, we took an uber to our hotel and then went to swim. Edward stayed at the hotel so just a few of us swam. Stephen, Nolen, and I went to get noodles for dinner then make our way back to the hotel to sleep. Again, I was still feeling sick but a little better. This cold has been one of the worst colds I’ve had in years. Wednesday, we ate breakfast at the hotel then went to the airport to fly home. We had a four hour layover in Denver where we spent the majority of our time in the Capitol One lounge. We got home around 11 PM and were all exhausted. Edward had to get up early to go to his last day of school and take two finals. Stephen drove his mom home as she and Sariah came to take care of Pearl.
All in all it was an amazing trip. We had a wonderful time with family and I can’t wait until next year.
