Swim meet and my Birthday

Summer for me is all about swim team.  I love waking up early and swimming.  Although, this year I have only swam once.  I usually swim with the boys but this summer I have been training for a marathon so that has taken up a lot of my time.  The boys are doing great at swim team but what I love most is the team aspect.  We have been a part of this team since Nolen was three and Edward was five.  My boys have grown up on this team. Covid changed a lot of things for us, but sticking to the team we love has made our summer so great!

I didn't do anything special on my birthday.  I went on a bike ride with Mary Rogers and then played games on my ipad all day.  Boring but I needed the rest.

Last Day of School

Yeah, you read that right.  Last day of school today, June 23rd. Nolen actually finished more than a month ago, but I didn't realize Edward had 20 more math lessons and 20 more Language arts lessons.  So he had to do school through the summer.  We celebrated with balloons on the trampoline and a swim in the river.  Made for a great day!

Deacons Camp

Oh, these boys are so blessed to have amazing leaders who put together a fun Deacon's camp this summer. I worried about Nolen and if he would sleep, but he had a fantastic time.  He never changed his clothes.  Not once.  They ate junk food and played so many fun games.  I only have a few photos from the leaders but the boys have talked non stop about boys camp.

Cliffs Amusement Park

Every summer the boys beg to go to Cliff's Amusement park.  They love riding the rides but it is always more fun with friends.  I heard that a home school group was going to Cliff's so I bought us tickets and took the boys.  They rode a few rides for the first time and, of course, rode all of their favorites.
