The day we got a PUPPY!

Nolen begged and begged for a puppy.  He wanted a puppy for his birthday, so we made it happen.  His puppy was born December 1st and we got to pick her up February 22!

Introducing: Pearl

We drove to Kingman right after my show let out at 4:30.  I picked up the boys and we were on the road by 6:00 PM.  I drove all night.  We stayed at Amanda's new house in Kingman and it was great.  She has a beautiful home.  I woke up early Monday and took photos of all the employees at the Vet's office then ran a few errands with Sharla.  Edward hung out with Cash and Logan all day.  He was in heaven.

Tuesday, I took a few more pictures on the employees of the employees and then picked up the puppy and got on the road to head back home.  Phew!  It was a whirlwind trip and I am so glad to be home.  I came home with a cold and a terrible sore throat; however, my boys are so happy to be puppy owners!

Frida!

After a very fun New Year's Eve concert, I asked to be a part of the next Opera Southwest show.  They put on the opera Frida.  It is an odd opera, to say the least.  The music was not great and neither was the staging or sets.  The performers where all incredibly talented but that was not enough to make this show a real hit.

Besides that, everything was great!  Back stage we had so much fun.  The ladies in the dressing room make the show so much fun.  I feel alive when I am on stage.  I love it!  It is incredible to be back where I feel the most at home.

An Official Teenager

 Edward is 13!

Today has been a whirlwind of a day.  Edward, Nolen, and my Dad went snow camping last night.  I had an audition at 10:30 in the morning, then Edward and Nolen were supposed to be home.  They got stuck in the sand while trying to leave, so they got home a little later than they hoped.  As soon as Edward walked in the door, I had him take a shower, and then I took his photos.

We opened presents then I left for my show.  We had planned a huge birthday party for Edward with all his friends at Main Event at 4:00.  I left my show right at 4:30 and headed over.  Edward had a blast.  His friends Sapphire, Kyle, Titus, and Skyler were all there!  They played four games of laser tag then did the ropes course.  We left around 8:00 and got pizza then drove home.  The kids all ate pizza and had ice cream.  It was a great night.

Edward is incredible.  His voice changed a few months ago, so he is officially going through puberty.  He has felt all the roller coaster emotions that go with puberty.  He is becoming more responsible and has shown he is ready for more responsibility  We bought him a new computer for his birthday, so he spent Friday building it with Stephen.  I have to continually get him new clothes because he is growing so quickly.  He still loves minecraft and riding his bike.  I love this boy. Edward is incredible.  I love him.  I love him.  I love him.
