It went by in the Blink of an Eye

Well June went by in the blink of an eye.  I will try my best to tell the story.  We moved June 4th.  That sort of turned our lives upside down.  We spent weeks organizing and getting things done so we could go back to life as usual.  Father's day came and went.  I bought Stephen some garage storage for father's day and I made a delicious stake dinner for my dad.  Stephen's dad was here so we had a fun afternoon eating and talking.

Susan came for a visit amidst all the moving chaos.  I don't think I got many photos, but we did talk and hang out and organize while she was here.  The boys played many games of Minecraft with Susan and they loved it.

Edward rode his bike to his best friend, Titus's house.  He lives about 2 miles away.  Just across the river. Edward also needed some one on one time.  He has needed more and more one on one time lately.  So much to the point that he slapped me in the face after I asked him to get in the car for mutual.  He is growing up.  Fast.  I made him pull weeds for two hours because you should NEVER hit your mom.

I turned 40.

Logan came for a long visit and the boys played and played and played.  Edward went to zoo came with his best friend, Calvin.  He got pet and feed a lot of different animals.  He said it felt a lot like school.

Nolen went to swim team by himself and even went to a swim meet with out Edward.  He did fantastic.  Nolen went to Tennessee with my parents to visit his cousins for a week.  He loved every minute of the trip.  He loved that he got to go by himself and play all day with his cousins at their house.  The cross country team all jumped in the river after practice one day.  Nolen said that was the best day of practice ever.

And that was June.  It came in fast and left fast.  I can't believe how quickly it went by.  Maybe next year I will be more prepared because we won't be moving.

And that was June.  So many stories untold because I just ran out of time.  I hate doing a big blog post to catch up, but at this point, this is all I have to give right now.  I am hoping I will be completely caught up after this week!

40 Years Around the Sun

 I am 40.

 I am happy.

I am loved.

I have a beautiful home.

I am a mother.

I have ran a marathon.

I have done a half Ironman.

I have sang my guts out across the world.

I have an amazing job.

I have a helpful family.

I married the man of my dreams.

I have no reason to complain.

I made so many goals to accomplish by the time I am 40 and I nearly hit them all.

I didn't become a lawyer and I didn't sing on Broadway.

But that's OK because the life I have is the one I want.

My birthday was on a Monday this year.   I woke up and took the boys to swim team and to Zoo camp.  Then Stephen and I went on a beautiful mountain bike ride near Tijeras, NM.  Stephen packed a picnic and we ate out in the freezing cold.  Yeah, you read that right, it was cold.  On June 28th!

We came back to the house and I took a nice bubble bath, then Stephen gave a massage.  It was extremely relaxing.  My parents came over and we ate cake and I opened my presents.  Stephen got me a new phone, diamond earrings, a new jacket for my morning bike rides, and my favorite cake from Whole Foods.

We went to dinner at Los Poblanos farm and then came home and I fell fast asleep.

It feels great to be 40!
