Surgery

Today, I went in to have some endometriosis removed. After a failed attempt at starting the I.V. I figured the day could only get better. I woke up feeling terrible and the nurse said, "no endometriosis but we found two staples in your right ovary and bladder and removed them". Crazy! Anyhow, I spent the day in bed drifting in and out of sleep. Hopefully, sans the staples, I will be able to get back to my normal life soon. 

 

Update 1: So things didn't get back to normal as quickly as I had hoped.  I have the worst itchy hives, EVER! I can't move with out wanting to scratch my stomach off!  HA!

Update 2: The hives only got worse.  I went to the doctor on Wednesday and she prescribed Prednisone.  The hives should be gone soon.  Hives are awful.  Awful!

Soccer Saturday!!

Little did I know, last July, that soccer here in Albuquerque is TWO seasons long!  I signed my boys up thinking we would do 8 weeks of fun, fun soccer and be done.  WRONG!  So here we are finishing what we started.  We haven't been as in to it as we were in the fall but we still go, every Saturday.  

Edward still doesn't like it.  He rarely has a chance to kick the ball and he just daydreams in the field as the other kids run after the ball.  Either way, I push him to finish things he starts.  I let him stop gymnastics because he wasn't progressing or learning anything new at all.  It was sad.  I think he really enjoyed it two years ago but because the program doesn't teach any skills he got bored.  The girls his age are competing and doing cartwheels and flips while the boys haven't even done front rolls.  It's sort of pathetic.  I signed him up for swim team at the gym and I hope, I really hope, he will love it.  I hope he will progress and find a sport he can enjoy.  

Nolen, on the other hand, loves soccer Saturday.  He is very competitive.  He wants to always have the ball and make all the goals.  He loves it.  His team only has 5 boys and Edward's team has 7 so the competition is a little less for Nolen.  I also signed Nolen up for the junior swim team at the gym and I really hope he will gain more confidence in the water.  I can not wait for them to open the pool at the gym.  

During Nolen's game, Edward's best friend surprised him with a mini play date!  It was so fun. 

Chop, chop, snip, snip.

Edward decided it was finally time to cut his hair. I love his long locks and I will miss them. He sure is handsome so matter what way he wears his hair.
