You know, January is a pretty uneventful month. For that, I am grateful. November and December were full. I don't think I had a single weekend that was empty for the last few months. I am grateful for uneventful, boring January's.
We started swim team this month. Edward and Nolen love to swim. They really love being in the water. The boys could swim all day. They never ask to leave the pool. I nearly drag them out of the pool when it is time to leave. I, too, enjoy swimming. It is one of my favorite ways to get fit. I love how the water feels on my skin, I love how fast I can swim, and I love moving through the water effortlessly.
I have been wanting to do a triathlon for the last year and I think this year I am actually going to bite the bullet! I love trying new things! I love doing things that are hard and that require a lot of concentration. I have been preparing for a triathlon for the last year, so I feel like I should be able to make it. I may lay down and sleep at the finish line, but my goal is to cross the finish line.
Speaking of goals, I only have a few goals for myself this year.
1. Love more.
2. Spend more time with my children.
3. Teach music.
4. Be kind.
5. Appreciate what I have been given.
These last few weeks, I have been updating my front room. I have wanted to update the front room for a while. Maybe even 5 years! HA! I bought a couch, two chairs, a rug, and a new book shelf. I really wish I was a good designer. I am terrible at making things look perfect. However, I am loving how the front room has come together. I need to put the final touches on the room, but all in all I am happy with the outcome. I will have to post a before and after picture someday. Maybe as soon I finish up the room.
