This last week, Susan came to visit. I am so grateful she spent some time with us. We don't get to see her as often as we would like. Somehow, time slips away so quickly and if we don't make a point of seeing the people we love we will miss precious moments with them.

Edward's 14th Birthday!
Happy 14th birthday to my sweet Edward! Oh, how has 14 years gone by so quickly? What have I done with those years? Have I been a good mother to my sweet boys? I just don't know. I hope I have done what they needed and helped them when they needed.
Edward is intelligent. He can figure things out so quickly. He is strong and now he is taller than me. He loves to eat fruit and meat. I bet that is what he will eat far in to adulthood. Edward loves the video game War Thunder and plays it most days when he is finished with his school work. Edward is very involved with this Teacher quorum at church and has been helping out as much as he can. He started archery with the school and has been practicing most days. He has great aim and I know he has worked hard to get better as time has gone by.
Edward loves his brother, Nolen. They share a room and spend most nights giggling until one of them finally falls asleep. I know he wants his privacy but I love that they share a room. They share so many things and they will have each other for life.
I love Edward. I love his sweetness. I love how soft he is and how much he cares for the people around him. He is kind and funny. He has and always will be stubborn but that is OK for now. I am hoping he will use his stubbornness for good as he grows.
I have loved every age, but these last few years have been amazing! I love watching Edward grow and change into a man. He is learning responsibility and he is owning up to his actions more and more each day. I love him. I love him. I love him.
Happy 14th birthday!

Snow days and game plays
It really has been a quiet start to the year. We have been spending more time with each other and just loved not having a lot to do. It finally snowed in Albuquerque and, of course, I had to snap a few photos. The boys don't want to go out and play in the snow anymore. They grew up. Ah! Too fast if you ask me. I love the ages they are right now but I do miss their innocence.

The Opera
Every year, I have been trying to do something on stage. This year, I opted to sing with Opera Southwest in their production on Le Comte Ory. It was a funny opera, which I loved, and was fun to be on stage with talented singers. The last night of the show, our two female leads both got covid so the opera company flew in two women covers of the role to perform. That was a special treat to be on stage and not know exactly what was going to happen.
