This year, I told Stephen I would do what ever he wanted for family photos. I have always done whatever I have wanted when it comes to photos. I try to coordinate out fits and I spend months and months planning our shoot. This year was a bit different. As May approached, I hadn't even set the date for our shoot. I am usually months ahead. This proves just how busy I have been this year.
Either way, Stephen chose Star Wars!
I was so excited. I started looking at costumes. I asked my sister if I could borrow a costume from her, then I ordered costumes for the boys and Stephen. I set the date, but I was still not 100% ready. Luckily, my friend Melanie Iverson had TONS of Star Wars stuff. She really saved the day.
We woke up at 5 AM to get ready and meet Heidi for our photo shoot. Actually, Stephen was up all night at work, so he was already awake!
Heidi picked the perfect location with the best light. Morning light is my favorite. I wish more clients were willing to wake up early to catch the dreamy sunrise. The boys had the best time fighting with their light sabers, Stephen loved being dressed up, and I even did a costume change!
