Amid all the chaos in the world, we needed a break as a family. We drove to St. George, Utah last Saturday and stayed in a resort style condo. It was refreshing. We spent the week with family just swimming in the resort pools and playing games. We went for a walk or a hike each morning, laughed, and played "Push the Button" for entertainment. Mostly, we just hung out together as a family and created much needed positive memories.

AND HE'S 40!
Love of my life, oh, love of my life!
Stephen is 40!
Today, the love of my life turns 40.
I truly tried to make it a special week. We celebrated Stephen's 40th with the boys and my parents on Tuesday night because I was taking Stephen to Ten Thousand Waves resort in Santa Fe.
We sang happy birthday to Stephen and gave him some of his presents. AH! I love this man.
Wednesday night, we drove up to Santa Fe to have dinner with Stephen's two closest friends, Jeremy and Charlie. We had such a fun night! I haven't laughed that hard in ages. I will not forget these funny, funny times. We ate a the restaurant called Izanami. It was just "ok". I am not sure I would pick to eat there again. The food was not up to a 5 star par. We have eaten less expensive food and it has tasted far better.
The hotel was fun and cute but the bed was not super comfortable. I got bit by a bug during the night. We also bathed in the Japanese bath house and that was pretty fun. For Stephen's birthday, we went on a little drive then went for a hike. We hiked up near Big Tessuque Campground and went along a beautiful little stream. I wore the wrong shoes so I was slow and I slid all over the place. HA! But it was fun to just be out in nature with Stephen.
I love this man more and more every single day. I am so glad he is a part of my life. I am so grateful he has chosen to be in my life. Our love just grows and grows as the years go by. I love him, I love him, I love him. There is not a soul on this earth that I would rather spend my time with.
Happy 40th and maybe in 10 years we can actually go to Japan to celebrate turning 50.

Independence Day and the Quarantine
What did we do for the Fourth?
Well, stayed home. That's what!
We stayed up late on July 3rd and watched Hamilton on Disney+ and it was AWESOME!
My dad bought some fireworks so we could set them off in the cul-de-sac. Edward loved lighting them for this first time in his life. He is finally old enough and interested in setting them off. We had hotdogs and watermelon for food. Just a great day with my parents.
Nolen and I also went swimming while Edward was at art class. Then we had friends over to play all day. Such a fun day!

Another Week in semi-quarantine
AH! How the weeks seem to all blend into one as we sit idly waiting for quarantine to end. We have had some restrictions lifted but as of two days ago, we may go back into more lock down. The gym is allowing kids to come and swim at the pool so I put the boys on my gym account so that we could all swim. Ok, so I just lay out because only two people are allowed in a lane at a time.
Nothing more to say, but we are just happy we can get out of the house for a while every single day.
