May means Family Photos!

I love my sweet family, and I love that they will trek far and wide to get a great photo of our family year after year.  I love them!

Bang! It's May!

Hold on to your hats, my friends, the world is moving at warp speed and you may not be able to keep up.  Today, we had a track meet and family photos.  The track meet took forever as expected.  We drove home lightening fast and got ready for our family photos up in the Sandia's.  As we were driving up the mountain, I saw a lady pop up from behind the guard rail and wave her hands back and forth.  I pulled over and Stephen jumped out of the car.  Turns out there were two women who had two dogs that had been lost for four hours in the wilderness of the Sandia's.  They had hiked up a cliff to get to the road and were so glad to see someone and waved us down.  We drove them back to their car as they cried in the back seat.  It was intense for a few minutes.

Nolen had a better meet this week and ran a bit faster.  He is feeling less excited about track season this year than he did last year.  I am hoping he isn't feeling burnt out.  He definitely needs a long summer break. I can not wait for both boys to finish up school so we can just RELAX!

Edward also worked on his science project with Stephen over the weekend.  He really wanted to explode something but hadn't thought about how to actually do that, so we came up with blowing up some small containers.

Lets Wrap it Up

April sort of flew by me.  I wasn't really prepared for it to end as quickly as it did.  I am sitting here typing in mid May trying to catch up on what I missed.  I haven't been as excited to blog lately because, for some reason that I can not yet figure out, I can't get my blog to copy and paste to Microsoft word so I can print it out.  Last years blog sits half way finished because of the issue.  Anyhow, that it beside the point.

We had a pretty uneventful April.  Track started in March and we had our first track meet today and Nolen did great.  He hasn't been feeling great this season so he had a disappointing start when he found out he had to run with tungsten.  Edward is tirelessly working to finish up his school work this school year.  He has a lot of math to complete and he just hates English.  I loved English as a child and hated math.  We are so different. And that wraps up April.

Easter

This year, Easter was perfect.  We didn't do anything special at all.  Church was one hour and that was great! My mom came to church and that made the day special. I played the piano for two girls to sing and Nolen played his cello with the ward string orchestra.  After church we took naps then went over to my parents house for a fun egg hunt.  I made chicken noodle soup for dinner and that was that.  Relaxing and just what I needed after a busy week away.
