Tuesday was our lazy day. We had absolutely no plans. We talked about doing something big on Tuesday, but we never really followed through. We still wanted to see the turtles, seems like this was our quest for this vacation. We decided to drive back over to Paia and stop at a little beach that was known for turtles. We went to Ho'okipa Beach park. This was not a place where kids could play in the water. It was a rocky beach with lava rock that had been shaped into pools over time. We finally saw TURTLES! They were all sleeping on the beach right next to us. Edward got in the water and was tossed by a wave a bit and cut his leg. It was a dangerous area to swim in, so we just sat on the beach for a bit and took pictures with the turtles.
After finally finding the turtles, we stopped at the same Hawaiian shaved ice shack we stopped at on Saturday and had some shaved ice and lunch.
We drove home and took another nap, because this vacation was all about resting. Then we decided to swim at the condo in the community pool. I went shopping with my parents to find some great clothes to wear for our photo session on the beach the next day.
